I'm Michael Smith, AKA Wagonboy on the Hugh Hewitt Show radio program. Wagonboy came about when I sent Hugh an e-mail griping about how many different campaigns he was asking his listeners to support. I told him I could be driving around in a beautiful 1969 GT Mustang convertible, but I'm driving an old Ford Taurus wagon instead because most of the restoration funds were going to selected Republican campaigns and charities. After 9/11 I was, and still am, more than willing to send cash wherever liberals rear their pacifist heads and wherever Rebuplicans have half a chance of gaining a seat in state and national elections. Today the Mustang still sits in the garage next to her engine and without any paint. Not a lot has been done to it in the last few years. There's a war being fought and it needs to be conducted by people who want to win. I feel the least I can do is to assist the political party that is in the best posture and frame of mind for the challenge. That party is the Republican party. Not driving the old Mustang isn't too hard. What's hard is happening in the lives of our soldiers and their families back here at home. Mine's a small sacrifice. http://www.nrsc.org/
